Day 01: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Pinnawala / Sigiriya
Upon arrival at the Colombo Bandaranayake International Airport, you will be warmly received by a representative. Your holiday of pure leisure has just begun. You will be escorted to your vehicle and transferred to Pinnawala to experience the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. The most exciting things that you can experience here is see baby jumbos wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster fathers at Pinnawala. En route, visit the Sigiriya rock fortress, which is considered as one of the World Heritage sites.

Day 02: Sigiriya / Kandy)
After an early breakfast proceed to Kandy – a World Heritage city in the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. Traditions and culture in Kandy remain undisturbed by European influence in the colonial era. The Royal Palace, now known as the “The Temple of the Tooth Relic’’ (of Lord Buddha), situated right beside the Kandy lake gives a magical beauty to the city.

Day 03: Kandy / Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, which is often referred to by the Sri Lankan tourist industry as “Little England”. On your way, you can stop at a Tea Factory to taste the Sri Lankan tea. In the afternoon you can spend your day at leisure, walking around the city or you can take a round of golf.

Day 04 & 05: Nuwara Eliya / Ratnapura
Today, you will be heading to Ratnapura where you can experience the Gem Mines in Ratnapura. Ratnapura ("City of Gems") is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the centre of a long-established industry of precious stone mining including rubies, sapphires, and other gems. Apart from gem mining, the city is known for rice and fruit cultivations. Large plantations of tea and rubber surround the city. Tea grown in this region is called low-country tea.

Day 06: Ratnapura / Galle
Today after an early breakfast, proceed to the South Bay of Sri Lanka. Galle Fort has a colorful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The southern coastal belt is the most popular among the tourists and comes to life mainly the golden beaches in Sri Lanka. In Galle, you will experience something that you have never experienced before – Stilt Fishing. This is no ordinary fishing, there might be several methods of catching a fish, but this one is mind – bogging. Fishermen in Sri Lanka use stilts to catch fish. This is an old tradition practiced by many fishing families in Galle.

Day 07: Galle / Colombo
Transfer to the Cosmopolitan hub of Sri Lanka – Colombo. Colombo is Colombo is rapidly emerging as a must-see stop in Sri Lanka. Colombo’s cosmopolitan side supports ever-more stylish eateries, galleries and museums. Surprises abound in its old quarters where you can find great local food and discover a shop or tiny, convivial cafe. The capital is an excellent finish to your Sri Lankan Tour.

Day 08: Colombo / Departure
